The quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis enjoys the reputation as one of the most prestigious music competitions and violin festivals in the world. It seeks a creative, dynamic arts administrator to lead it in the new millennium with the position opening approximately January 1, 2001.

The Competition seeks an executive director who would be an inspired leader, able to articulate the vision and mission of the organization in local, national, and international settings. Academic credentials should include an M.B.A. or M.A. in arts administration or equivalent experience. Other qualifications that will be considered include outstanding managerial and fund-raising skills, strong musical background, exceptional command of spoken and written English, as well as foreign language ability.
